San Jose Sharks at Colorado Avalanche, 10/1/09
After the afternoon Rockies game, I walked from Coors Field to the Pepsi Center. It was about a half hour walk, with a stop at Fedex Office to print my ticket for the game. I got there a while before they opened the doors. It was the Avalanche season opener, and before the game they retired Joe Sakic’s jersey and number. The Avalanche jumped out to an early lead, and ended up winning 5-2. I don’t go to too many hockey games, and it was fun being there. I need to get to some more. More pictures in the flickr set. |

Okay, I know you love your baseball and hockey isn’t even near the top of the list, but… seriously?! They RETIRE Joe Sakic’s jersey, it’s the SEASON OPENER, and you give me one line about the game?! “The Avalanche jumped out to an early lead, and ended up winning 5-2.” Dude…
Probably all he remembers about it … It was more than six months ago…
