Weekend Plans
My plans for the weekend. Likely, very few of these will actually get done. And it’s a short list to begin with, plus a three day weekend. Damn laziness. And one of them involves playing a video game.
Yeah, that’s really it. Likely, what I’ll actually do is play Wii Sports and Guitar Hero II all weekend instead. And eat, and sleep. Maybe watch some TV.

No Power
Power is out at home. Nothing to do. Love the BlackBerry Pearl. :). Right now in IRC, on AIM, and using Google Talk. On the Treo, I couldn’t have done all of those things at the same time. Oh, and posting on my blog. Awesome.

Sinusitis Sucks
Continuing in my [something] sucks series… Yeah. Got a cold after Vegas. No big deal. As it went away, bad headache showed up. Not like any headache I’ve had before. Different kind of pain, hurts when I stand up or sit down… a little research online and I knew what it was. Regular drugs (Advil, NyQuil, Tylenol) did nothing to help the pain. Just constant pressure for two days. I’m still not sure if it’s infected or just inflammation, but after a trip to the doctor, I’m on this for three days. And Sudafed. Crazy what I have to do to get that, now. First place I went (where I got the antibiotics) didn’t have it. Other than that, not really a hassle, just annoying that I have to swipe my driver’s license and sign. Took an extra ten seconds or so, besides having to go to the counter to get it. Not really a big deal, unless I for some reason needed a lot of it. Hopefully, I won’t need more than the one box. This is the first time I can remember having something like this. It sucks, a lot. Avoid it at all costs. Update: Sudafed seems to have cleared up my nose, but not the pain between my eyes. I have no evidence of this, but I’m gonna go along with Ryan, and somehow blame this whole thing on the Imperial Palace. At least it was cheap.

Hello from Italy
I’m in Venice now. The internet access at the hotel is ridiculously expensive, so no pictures at the moment. It’ll probably wait until I get back. Having a great time. 🙂

Arrived
T-Mobile’s international roaming seems to work. I’m on the ground in Geneva, and exhausted. In a cab to the hotel now.

By Taxi to the Airport
I’m now in New York, but I head to the airport in about an hour. Then I’m out of the country for two weeks. I will probably be online and maybe even post from time to time while I’m gone. I’m really looking forward to this vacation. Maybe I’ll get some pictures up before I come back. The Mets magic number is one. A win tonight (or a loss by the Phillies) and the Mets take the division. I’ll be on a plane when it happens… hopefully, no snakes involved. Talk to everyone in October!

Thanks, Craig!
I was looking around the web trying to find a way to store all my random small computer parts and screws and lots of other electronics junk. I was basically looking for something like this. I probably didn’t need more than one 24 drawer cabinet, but with where I was planning to put it, I wanted three to come close to the height of the bookshelf next to it. Three of those (plus tax, plus shipping) would have been very expensive. Somewhere in my googling, I came across this link: http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/tls/195866995.html. Less than 24 hours after I saw it on craigslist, picked up less than a mile from my house: I’m using them to replace a small, cheap, plastic parts cabinet. Everything I had in there will probably fit easily in one row of these drawers. So I have lots more drawers now for enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material. Not much doing on the poker front, I haven’t really been playing much. I did just (finally) spend a whole bunch of PSO points that I had collected from my terror alert page referrals. I think they were points well spent: Most of my free time now will be spent killing zombies. Poker will have to wait.

Sweep!
The Mets finished off a sweep of Atlanta today with a 10-6 win. Carlos Beltran (MVP!) had another two-homer game, including his third grand slam of the month. 13.5 games up over second place Philadelphia, who just traded Abreu and appear to be giving up for the season. As they should. Everyone go congratulate Ryan for successfully surviving day one of the WSOP Main Event. He did more than just that, he finished the day with 40k in chips. My 0.5% of him is looking good so far. Good luck to Zeem who starts his day one tomorrow. Sorry for the complete lack of content here, I’ve been wasting all my time playing Guitar Hero, so I have nothing interesting to talk about.
