The Economy
Yeah, it’s shit right now. It’s everyone’s fault.* I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know enough about economics to know what we should be doing. In fact, I’ve written a post about that before. Chances are, if you’re reading this blog, you really don’t either. I’m not going to comment one way or the other on the stimulus package and whether or not it will work. As I’ve just said, I don’t know. Lots of very smart people, with much more experience in economics, also don’t know. Or, they think they do, but there are people just as smart and experienced who disagree with them. If the top economic minds can’t agree on what it will do, or what the government should be doing, what the fuck do you and I know about? You’re free to express your opinion, obviously, but please stop making posts where you are 100% certain the stimulus will fail and we just need more tax cuts. Tax cuts don’t help people who are unemployed, though no fault of their own. Also, please don’t tell me you’re absolutely sure it will work, either. No one knows. In short, if you’re trying to talk about what the government should be doing about the financial crisis, don’t pretend like you know what the fuck you’re talking about. Thank you. *The government (both sides of the aisle), the banks, people who bought houses they couldn’t afford. I don’t mean you, individually.

Shea Stadium
The T-Shirt a Day Challenge might be nearing it’s end. I don’t have too many good ones left. I might be able to make it to the end of the month, but it’s gonna be close, I think. Today’s shirt I bought either at Shea or at the Mets clubhouse store in the mall. I don’t remember which. It was bought in July, 2008.

Urban Achievers
Crappy, out of focus pictures today. Not sure how that happened, but I don’t feel like taking them again. Today’s shirt is my softball’s team shirt. We are the (Little Lebowski) Urban Achievers. We’re finally getting to play another game tonight… the last few have been rained out. Purchase location: 6 Dollar Shirts (iron numbers from spot98)

Chumash Casino
This is a shirt from my “local” casino. It’s about a 35 minute drive away, and has a nice 14 table poker room. I used to go very often, but don’t really make it there much any more. I should start going back. I bought this shirt in the casino gift shop. I’m not really sure when.

Plan B
Don’t try to read anything into today’s shirt. It doesn’t mean anything. I thought it was funny, so I bought it. Purchase location: shirt.woot

Scion
Today’s shirt I got on Saturday. I bowled in a doubles no-tap tournament in Santa Maria. During the tournament, they have drawings for sponsored prizes. I was complaining about never winning any of those, when a friend on my lanes name got called. He won a free t-shirt from Toyota, and didn’t want it. So I ended up with it. My team came in second in the tournament. If my last game hadn’t been so bad (189, no-tap!) we would have come in first. Only missed it by 15 pins.

2006 NLDS
I went to game 3 of the 2006 NLDS. The Mets beat the Dodgers in the first two games in NY, and then came out to LA to complete the sweep. The pavilion seats past the outfield fences in Dodger Stadium are set up so you walk up stairs to the front of the section, and then back up through the aisle to your seat. I got there a little late due to horrible traffic, mostly in the Dodger Stadium parking lot. Around the middle of the second inning, I walked to the top of the steps at the front of the section wearing my David Wright jersey. The whole pavilion immediately started booing. It was awesome. I got a few peanuts in my back during the game, but nothing else really from the apathetic Dodgers fans. I missed the Mets scoring 3 runs in the first, but got to watch the Dodgers tie it up, take the lead, and then the Mets come back for a 9-5 victory. Great game. Purchase location: Dodger Stadium

Random Shirt
shirt.woot will, from time to time, sell random shirts. They’re $6.66 each, and you can buy up to three. I did it once, and this is one of the ones I got. It’s kinda interesting, but I don’t think I would have chosen to buy it. The random shirt sale is not nearly as much fun as the Bag of Crap. Purchase location: shirt.woot

Perversion of Paranoid Populace
I’m getting lazy with talking about the actual shirts, and just posting the pictures. This post is no different. Purchase location: Design By Humans
