Maybe Lilly should have charged the plate and run over Loretta to preserve his no-hitter. But then, maybe he would have received a “1-hitter” from Loretta anyway.
eh, from what i hear there was an error earlier in the game that should’ve gone as a hit but was scored an error because of the nono, and that’s no way to pitch a nono.
